Swanson, president and chief operating officer. New York-based investment group Abel Holdings has acquired fly reel and fishing accessory company Abel Automatics, Inc. Don R. Swanson will remain onboard as president and chief operating officer. Glen Krapff was named vice president, and Jeff Patterson director of sales. Abel currently makes 37 sizes of fly reels as well as numerous other fly-fishing accessories. The company was originally an independent machine job shop that made precision electronic and medical parts and began making reels in 1988. |
