REC Components announces partnership with Richard Wheatley, Ltd

Company will co-manufacturer and distribute 'Wheatley Fly Boxes' throughout North America

September 1, 2008 - Stafford Springs, CT - REC Components of Stafford Springs, CT is pleased to announce that a partnership has been formed with Richard Wheatley, Ltd., of England to co-manufacturer and distribute 'Wheatley Fly Boxes' throughout North America.

For over 40 years, REC Components has been a leading manufacturer of fine rod components and cases and other innovative products for the angling industry.  Since 1860, Richard Wheatley Ltd. has produced the most revered fly boxes in the industry. The Wheatley standard continues with innovative products for today's angler that blends form, function, with time-honored tradition.

Effective October 1, 2008, REC will become the sole distributor of all Wheatley products throughout North America.  REC will also employ its current metal finishing and assembly manufacturing capability to begin production of the Wheatley products in its Connecticut facility.  At the same time REC will continue the Wheatley tradition of exceptionally high quality products coupled with the convenience and economy of US based operations to serve customers in North America.
