Workshop will teach women fly-fishing skills

Becoming an Outdoors Woman, California and Wilderness Unlimited will host a fly fishing workshop Sept.19 to 21 on Wilderness Unlimited's Bidwell Ranch property in the Hat Creek Valley near Burney. There will be sessions for beginning- and intermediate-level fly fishers. The intermediate class is for participants who have attended previous fly-fishing workshops. "It's so much fun to learn and watch the excitement of others when they are learning," said Susan Herrgesell, BOW, California president. "It's also fun to finally cast that perfect cast and watch that trout come up for the fly."
